Conor J. Hawkins joins Waterlox Coatings Corporation as Technical Product Manager

CLEVELAND, OH, January 12, 2015 — Waterlox, a Cleveland-based manufacturer of premium wood finishes, has appointed Conor J. Hawkins as Technical Product Manager. He will be responsible for managing plant production and operations, as well as research and new product development.

Hawkins joins his sister, Kellie Hawkins Schaffner, and father, Jay Hawkins, at the fourth-generation, family-owned company.

Prior to joining Waterlox, Hawkins served as a Process Engineer at PPG Industries. In this role, he managed technology transfer between global regions to ensure the use of best practices and quality manufacturing. He was also involved in the design, training and rollout of a global software package. Earlier in his career, Hawkins served as a chemist in the Automotive OEM Coatings Technical division of PPG. Along with new color development and customer line support, he completed Six Sigma training and redeveloped a formulation practice to achieve better performance and improved coating appearance.
